The Tellico Arts Center opened July 12, 1998 as a not for profit juried Art Center. Our purpose is to support local arts and provide a place where both visitors and local citizens may enjoy the wide array of indigenous arts. The Tellico Arts Center hosts seventy-nine artists of varied media who reside within thirty miles.
Fabric art includes quilts, hand woven and felted llama items, hand knit sweaters, and painting on fabric. There are metal works, pottery, beading, wheat weaving, leather work, stained glass, local authors, local music CDs, photography, soaps, candles, paintings, and mixed media represented.
Performances of mountain related music or storytelling are held during the summer season in this intimate setting.
The Arts Center is one of eight galleries in the area. We hope you will take time from your busy schedule to stop in for a visit or for information about things to see and do. Hours are 12-6 PM. Closed Wednesdays and January. Open Saturdays February and March.
